What should I know before posting to Twitch from NanoClaw?

Twitch has a few rules that Postiz enforces at publish time. NanoClaw applies them when you mention them in plain language, and asks when a required value is missing.

✓messageType is message by default; set it to announcement for the highlighted banner style. announcementColor only applies to announcements.
✓Valid announcement colors are primary, blue, green, orange, and purple. Other color names are rejected.
✓Chat messages are short by nature. Twitch enforces its own chat limits and moderation settings, so keep NanoClaw's messages concise.
✓Posts go to your channel's chat, not to your stream or VOD. The Postiz connection must have chat permissions on your channel.

How do I post to Twitch chat from NanoClaw?

Add the Postiz skill to NanoClaw with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent, authenticate with postiz auth:login, and connect Twitch in Postiz. Then message NanoClaw with the text and time, and say "announcement" if you want the highlighted style. It schedules the chat message through Postiz.

Can NanoClaw send Twitch announcements in a specific color?

Yes. Ask for an announcement and name the color: primary, blue, green, orange, or purple. NanoClaw sets messageType to announcement and announcementColor to your choice. Plain chat messages ignore the color field. Announcements stand out in chat, so use them for go-live notices and schedule changes.

Can NanoClaw post to Twitch chat when I am not live?

Yes. Chat stays open when you are offline, so scheduled messages still post. That makes it useful for schedule reminders or links to your other channels between streams. Just remember fewer people read offline chat, so pair it with a Discord or X post for reach.

Can NanoClaw automate weekly Twitch chat reminders?

Yes. Ask NanoClaw for a recurring job in chat, for example "every Saturday at noon post the week's stream schedule". It runs on that schedule inside its container and sends the message through Postiz. Combine it with Discord and X posts in the same request to announce everywhere at once.

Does NanoClaw need my Twitch login or a chat bot token?

No. Twitch is connected to Postiz with OAuth once in the dashboard, and Postiz posts to chat using that connection. NanoClaw authenticates to Postiz only, with postiz auth:login or a POSTIZ_API_KEY. You do not create a Twitch bot or handle tokens on the NanoClaw side.
