The open-source version is the same codebase, published on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0 license. You can self-host it with Docker on your own server if you want full control over your data or want to run it for free. Self-hosting means you provision the server, create your own developer apps on each social network, and handle updates, backups, and API approvals yourself.

Pick the post, set the cadence (for example, every 30 days), choose which channels it should hit each time, and Postiz handles the rest. Each repost shows up in your calendar so you can still see, edit, or pause upcoming runs.

Every plan can also auto-post from an RSS feed, which is handy for turning a blog or newsletter into a steady social cadence.

Yes. Every plan includes a public REST API for creating posts, uploading media, and managing channels, plus webhooks that fire on post events. Use them to connect Postiz to n8n, a CMS, a CI pipeline, or your own dashboard.

For AI agents there is more than the raw API. Postiz runs a hosted MCP server that Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other agents connect to with an OAuth sign-in and no API key, plus a Postiz CLI and an installable skill (npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent) for agents that run shell commands, such as OpenClaw, Codex, and Hermes. An agent can draft, schedule, and publish through those without you writing integration code.

Postiz shows per-channel and per-post analytics pulled from each network’s official insights API. Depending on the channel, you’ll see impressions, likes, comments, shares, reach, and engagement rate.

Everything is in one dashboard — you can compare how the same post performed on LinkedIn vs. X vs. Instagram without opening five different apps. Analytics coverage depends on what each platform exposes publicly, so some smaller networks are more limited than the major ones.

Yes — that’s the core of Postiz. Write a post once, pick the channels, and Postiz publishes to all of them at the time you choose.

Before scheduling, each channel gets its own preview so you can tweak copy, media, or hashtags per platform — for example, a longer LinkedIn version and a shorter X version of the same post. You can also queue the same post to re-run on an evergreen schedule.

Each customer group keeps its own channels, calendar, and analytics — useful for agencies, freelancers, or anyone running several brands. You pick the plan based on the total number of social channels you need to connect across every brand: 5 on Standard, 10 on Team, 30 on Pro, and 100 on Ultimate. Team members are included from the Team plan up.

Team, Pro, and Ultimate plans let you invite unlimited team members by email. Standard is a solo plan.

Most solo creators pick Standard. Small brands and agencies managing a handful of accounts usually go Team or Pro. Ultimate is for agencies and large teams connecting many accounts. Full details are on the pricing page.

Yes. You’re not locked into any specific set of channels. Connect, disconnect, and swap any of the 30+ supported networks at any time, as long as your total active channels stay within your plan’s limit.

If you downgrade and exceed the new limit, Postiz will automatically disable the most recent connections. Reconnect the ones you want to keep and disable the others — nothing is deleted.

Each connected social account is one channel. So three Facebook pages = three channels, not one.

If you manage multiple brands and each has its own Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, count one slot per account you plan to connect.
