> @Andy whenever I schedule a launch tweet, also post the same text to Telegram five minutes later
NanoClaw: Schedules a matching Telegram message alongside the X post in Postiz. What should I know before posting to Telegram from NanoClaw?
Telegram has a few rules that Postiz enforces at publish time. NanoClaw applies them when you mention them in plain language, and asks when a required value is missing.
- ✓The Postiz Telegram bot must be added to the channel or group as an administrator with permission to post before NanoClaw can publish there.
- ✓Telegram has no extra required settings in Postiz; only __type telegram applies. The target channel is chosen when you connect it in Postiz.
- ✓Telegram text messages are limited to 4,096 characters, and media captions are shorter. Ask NanoClaw to trim or split long updates.
- ✓Photos and videos are uploaded through Postiz first. Send them in chat or reference a file path inside the NanoClaw container.
Frequently asked questions about NanoClaw and Telegram
How do I post to a Telegram channel from NanoClaw?
Install the Postiz skill in NanoClaw with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent, run postiz auth:login, and connect Telegram in Postiz by adding the Postiz bot as an admin of your channel. Then message NanoClaw with the text, media, and time and it schedules the message through Postiz.
Can NanoClaw post to Telegram if I talk to it on Telegram?
Yes. NanoClaw can run on Telegram as its own chat channel, while Postiz posts to your public channel through the Postiz bot. You can DM NanoClaw on Telegram and ask it to schedule an announcement to your channel; the two bots are separate and need separate permissions.
Can NanoClaw post to Telegram groups as well as channels?
Yes. Both channels and groups work as long as the Postiz bot is a member with posting rights. Connect each one in Postiz as its own integration and name it in your message so NanoClaw picks the right target. Each shows up separately in postiz integrations:list.
Can NanoClaw send scheduled Telegram messages automatically?
Yes. Ask NanoClaw for a recurring job in chat, for example a daily digest at 8am or a weekly roundup on Fridays. It wakes on that schedule inside its container, prepares the content, and schedules the message through Postiz. You can review or cancel queued messages in the Postiz calendar.
Do I need to create a Telegram bot for NanoClaw to post?
Not for posting. Postiz provides its own bot, which you add to your channel when connecting Telegram in the Postiz dashboard. NanoClaw authenticates only to Postiz, with postiz auth:login or a POSTIZ_API_KEY. If you also want to chat with NanoClaw on Telegram, that uses NanoClaw's own /add-telegram setup.
