What should I know before posting to YouTube from NanoClaw?

YouTube has a few rules that Postiz enforces at publish time. NanoClaw applies them when you mention them in plain language, and asks when a required value is missing.

✓A video file is required, and the title must be 2 to 100 characters. NanoClaw uploads the video through postiz upload before creating the post.
✓type (visibility) is required: public, unlisted, or private. If you do not say, NanoClaw should ask rather than default to public.
✓Custom thumbnails must be uploaded first and passed as {id, path}. Send the image in chat and NanoClaw does the upload.
✓selfDeclaredMadeForKids is a legal declaration. Tell NanoClaw explicitly when content is for children; it should not guess.

How do I upload a YouTube video from NanoClaw?

Add the Postiz skill to NanoClaw with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent, authenticate with postiz auth:login, and connect your YouTube channel in Postiz. Then send NanoClaw the video with a title, visibility, and time. It uploads the file through Postiz and schedules the publish on your channel.

Can NanoClaw set a custom YouTube thumbnail?

Yes. Send the thumbnail image along with the video and NanoClaw uploads it through Postiz, then passes it in the thumbnail setting as an id and path. YouTube applies it when the video publishes. If you skip it, YouTube picks an auto-generated frame as usual.

Can NanoClaw schedule YouTube videos as unlisted or private?

Yes. The type setting accepts public, unlisted, or private, and NanoClaw maps your words to the right value. Uploading as private or unlisted first is a good way to review the upload in YouTube Studio before making it public, since visibility can be changed later in Studio.

Does NanoClaw handle the YouTube made-for-kids setting?

Yes. When you say the video is made for kids, NanoClaw sets selfDeclaredMadeForKids to yes; otherwise it can set no. This is a declaration you are responsible for under YouTube's rules, so state it clearly in your message rather than leaving it to the agent to infer.

Do I need the YouTube Data API to use NanoClaw with Postiz?

No. You connect the YouTube channel to Postiz with Google OAuth once. NanoClaw only authenticates to Postiz, using postiz auth:login or a POSTIZ_API_KEY inside its container. Postiz handles the YouTube upload and quota on its side, so there is nothing to configure in Google Cloud.
