What should you know before posting to LinkedIn from Claude Cowork?

Cowork handles these rules for you, but knowing them explains why it sometimes asks a follow-up question before scheduling.

✓LinkedIn posts are limited to 3,000 characters. Cowork will trim or ask before scheduling if your draft runs long.
✓Personal profiles and company pages are separate Postiz channels (__type linkedin vs linkedin-page). Say which one you mean, or Cowork will ask.
✓Carousels need more than one image and post_as_images_carousel set to true; a carousel_name is shown in the LinkedIn UI.
✓Media must be uploaded through Postiz before posting. Point Cowork at the files and it uploads them first.

Can Claude Cowork post to a LinkedIn company page?

Yes. Connect the company page to Postiz as a LinkedIn Page channel. In Cowork, say "post this on our company page" and it selects the linkedin-page channel instead of your personal profile. You can schedule to both in the same request with different wording for each.

Can Cowork create a LinkedIn image carousel?

Yes. Give Cowork several images and ask for a carousel. It uploads each image through Postiz, sets post_as_images_carousel to true, and adds a carousel_name. LinkedIn then displays the images as a swipeable document-style carousel rather than a plain multi-image post.

How is this different from the Postiz connector in Claude.ai?

Claude.ai uses the official Postiz connector from the Claude directory, which covers posting and scheduling but not image or video generation. Claude Cowork is the desktop agent, and adding the custom MCP link gives it the full Postiz toolset plus access to your local files.

Do I need a Postiz API key for Claude Cowork?

No. The Postiz connector authenticates through OAuth when you add it in Cowork, and LinkedIn itself is connected to Postiz through LinkedIn's OAuth. API keys are only needed if you choose the Postiz CLI route, which is more common with Claude Code than with Cowork.
