What should you know before posting to Facebook from Claude Cowork?

Cowork handles these rules for you, but knowing them explains why it sometimes asks a follow-up question before scheduling.

✓Postiz posts to Facebook Pages, not personal profiles. Connect the Page in Postiz before asking Cowork to post.
✓For a link preview, the URL goes in the url setting rather than only in the text. Say "with a link preview" and Cowork sets it.
✓Media files are uploaded through Postiz before posting; Cowork does this automatically when you name the files.
✓A post can be text, link, or media. Combining a link preview with attached photos is not supported by Facebook in one post.

How do I post to a Facebook Page from Claude Cowork?

In Cowork, open Customize, then Connectors, add a custom connector named Postiz with the URL https://mcp.postiz.com/mcp-oauth-dynamic, and sign in. Then ask Cowork to post to your Page. It picks the Facebook channel you connected in Postiz and schedules the post. No terminal or API key is required.

Can Claude Cowork post to my personal Facebook profile?

No. Facebook's API only allows scheduling tools like Postiz to publish to Pages, so Cowork can post to any Page you manage but not to a personal timeline. If you run a community or business, connect its Page in the Postiz dashboard and Cowork will see it.

Can Cowork add a link preview to a Facebook post?

Yes. Ask for a link preview and Cowork puts the URL in the Facebook url setting when it creates the post through Postiz. Facebook then fetches the page title and image for the card. Leaving the URL only in the post text shows it as plain text instead.

How is this different from posting to Facebook with Claude Code?

Claude Code is Anthropic's terminal agent and reaches Postiz through a claude mcp add command or the Postiz CLI. Claude Cowork is the desktop agent for the same account, so Postiz is added as a connector in the app and you never open a terminal. Both use the same Facebook Page channel.

Is there a free way to try Postiz with Claude Cowork?

Postiz offers a 7-day free trial, and paid plans start at $29 per month. Claude Cowork itself is part of Anthropic's paid Claude plans on the desktop app. Once both are set up, posting to Facebook from Cowork has no extra per-post fee.
