LinkedIn limits and gotchas to know

LinkedIn has a couple of rules worth knowing before you ask Claude Code to post.

✓LinkedIn posts are capped at 3,000 characters. Claude Code keeps drafts under the limit if you mention LinkedIn in the request.
✓Personal profiles use the linkedin channel type and company pages use linkedin-page. Say which one you mean, or Claude Code asks.
✓Carousels are built from several images with post_as_images_carousel set to true; a single image is posted as a normal image post.
✓carousel_name is the label LinkedIn shows for the carousel document, so give it a readable title.
✓Images and documents are uploaded through Postiz first, so point Claude Code at local files or URLs.

Yes. Postiz exposes company pages as a separate linkedin-page channel type alongside the personal linkedin type. Tell Claude Code you want the company page and it picks the right channel. You can also ask it to post the same update to both your profile and the page in one request.

How do I create a LinkedIn image carousel with Claude Code?

Give Claude Code several images and ask for a carousel. It uploads the images through Postiz, sets post_as_images_carousel to true, and uses your chosen name as carousel_name. LinkedIn shows the result as a swipeable document post. Without the carousel request, multiple images are posted as a regular multi-image post.

Can Claude Code write LinkedIn posts from my codebase?

Yes, and that is the main advantage over a chat-only agent. Claude Code can read your changelog, README, or merged pull requests and turn them into a LinkedIn post before scheduling it through Postiz. It keeps the copy under the 3,000-character limit and asks for permission before anything is published.

Can I automate LinkedIn posting with Claude Code in CI?
