Google My Business enforces a few rules on every post. Postiz exposes them as settings, and Perplexity Computer applies them, but knowing them helps you phrase the request.

✓topicType is STANDARD, EVENT, or OFFER; EVENT posts require eventTitle plus start and end dates (YYYY-MM-DD).
✓Google Business Profile posts are limited to 1,500 characters.
✓callToActionType must be one of NONE, BOOK, ORDER, SHOP, LEARN_MORE, SIGN_UP, GET_OFFER, or CALL, with a URL for most types.

Can Computer create Google Business Profile event and offer posts?

Yes. Say event with a date range and Computer sets topicType EVENT with eventTitle, eventStartDate, eventEndDate, and the start and end times. Say offer with a code and it sets topicType OFFER with offerCouponCode, offerRedeemUrl, and offerTerms. Plain updates use topicType STANDARD with an optional CTA.

Which call-to-action buttons can Computer add?

Postiz supports NONE, BOOK, ORDER, SHOP, LEARN_MORE, SIGN_UP, GET_OFFER, and CALL. Name the action, for example add a Book button, and Computer sets callToActionType together with the callToActionUrl you give it. CALL uses the phone number already on your Business Profile, so it needs no URL.

Do I need a Postiz API key to publish Google My Business posts from Computer?

Not with the MCP connector. Perplexity signs in to Postiz over OAuth with your own account, so Computer only uses the Business Profile you connected. The CLI skill path (npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent) is the alternative and reads POSTIZ_API_KEY from Computer's sandbox environment.
