Facebook enforces a few rules on every post. Postiz exposes them as settings, and Perplexity Computer applies them, but knowing them helps you phrase the request.

✓Postiz posts to Facebook Pages, not personal profiles. Connect the Page you manage in Postiz first.
✓Use the url field for link posts; Facebook builds the preview from that URL rather than from a link in the text.
✓Facebook allows very long posts (over 60,000 characters), but the first lines are what people see before See more.

Can Perplexity Computer post to my personal Facebook profile?

No. Postiz connects Facebook Pages, so Computer can publish to any Page you manage but not to a personal timeline. If you run a brand or community Page, connect it in Postiz and Computer will target it whenever you say Facebook.

How do link previews work when Computer posts to Facebook?

Mention the link and Computer places it in the Facebook url setting. Facebook then fetches the page and renders the title, image, and description as a rich preview under your text. If you want a plain text post, ask Computer to leave the URL out of the settings.

Do I need a Postiz API key to post to Facebook from Perplexity Computer?

Not with the MCP connector, which authenticates to Postiz over OAuth with your own account. Computer only sees the Facebook Pages you connected. If you use the CLI skill path instead (npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent), it reads POSTIZ_API_KEY from the sandbox environment.

Can Perplexity Computer post to Facebook and Instagram at the same time?

Yes. Ask for both in one request and Computer creates a post on each channel with the right settings: the Facebook Page post can carry a link preview while the Instagram post gets the image and caption it requires. Each channel is scheduled independently and reported back to you.
