Postiz validates every Discord post before it is scheduled, so these limits and required settings decide whether a request succeeds.

▸The Postiz Discord bot must be invited to your server and have permission to post in the target channel.
▸channel is a Discord channel ID, not a #name. Hermes resolves the ID from the channels Postiz can see.
▸Discord messages are limited to 2,000 characters. Ask Hermes to split long announcements.
▸Attachments must be uploaded through postiz upload before they can be sent.

How do I connect Discord to Hermes Agent?

Is this the same as talking to Hermes Agent on Discord?

No. Hermes Agent's messaging gateway lets you chat with Hermes from Discord, Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, or Signal. Posting to Discord through Postiz is a separate action where Hermes publishes a scheduled message to a channel. You can do both: message Hermes on Discord and ask it to post to another server.

How does Hermes Agent choose the Discord channel?

The channel setting takes a Discord channel ID. Hermes fetches the channels available to the Postiz bot through postiz integrations:trigger, matches the name you mentioned, and passes the ID. If several channels share a name across servers, Hermes should confirm which server you mean.

Can Hermes Agent post to Discord on a recurring schedule?
