Postiz validates every Twitch post before it is scheduled, so these limits and required settings decide whether a request succeeds.

▸Twitch chat messages are limited to 500 characters.
▸Announcements require the Postiz connection to have moderator or broadcaster rights on the channel. Plain messages do not.
▸announcementColor only applies when messageType is announcement. Options are primary, blue, green, orange, and purple.
▸Postiz posts into your own channel's chat, so time messages around your stream schedule.

How do I connect Twitch to Hermes Agent?

Connect your Twitch channel in the Postiz dashboard, then install the Postiz skill in Hermes with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent and set POSTIZ_API_KEY. Hermes finds the Twitch channel with postiz integrations:list. Your Twitch login stays in Postiz; Hermes only uses the Postiz API key.

What is the difference between a Twitch message and an announcement?

A message is a normal line in chat. An announcement is highlighted with a colored bar and stands out in a busy chat, but Twitch only allows moderators and the broadcaster to send them. Hermes sets messageType to announcement and picks announcementColor when you ask for a colored notice.

Can Hermes Agent announce when I go live on Twitch?

Hermes can schedule a going-live announcement for a fixed time, for example "purple announcement at 7:50pm", and repeat it with a cron job. Postiz schedules by timestamp, so it does not detect the stream starting automatically. Pair it with your stream schedule for reliable notices.
