What Lemmy rules should the agent follow?

Lemmy rejects posts that break its limits, so the agent needs these constraints up front. Put them in the task or in your Paperclip agent's instructions.

✓Each target in the subreddit array needs the community name, its id on your instance, and a title of at least 2 characters.
✓Add url to make a link post; leave it out for a text post. The body text becomes the post body in both cases.
✓Community ids are instance-specific. The agent should look them up through Postiz rather than reuse ids from another instance.
✓Federation takes time; a post may appear on remote instances minutes after it is live on yours.

How do I post to Lemmy from Paperclip?

Can a Paperclip agent post to several Lemmy communities at once?

Yes. The Postiz Lemmy settings take an array of communities, each with its own id and title. Ask the agent to adapt the title to each community and it creates one post with multiple targets. Communities on other instances are reached through federation from your own instance.

How does the agent find the Lemmy community id?

Community ids are numeric and specific to your Lemmy instance. The agent queries Postiz for the communities your account can post to and matches the name you gave. If you paste a community URL in the task it can resolve the id from that as well.

Does Postiz support Lemmy link posts and text posts?

Yes. Include a url in the task for a link post; omit it for a text post. Lemmy shows link posts with the destination domain and a thumbnail, while text posts show the body inline. Both accept a body, so the agent can add context under a shared link.
