What Facebook rules should the agent follow?

Facebook rejects posts that break its limits, so the agent needs these constraints up front. Put them in the task or in your Paperclip agent's instructions.

✓Postiz publishes to Facebook Pages you manage, not personal profiles. Connect the Page in Postiz before assigning the task.
✓Use the url setting to attach a link. Facebook builds the preview from that URL, so the link should point to a page with Open Graph tags.
✓Facebook posts allow very long text (over 60,000 characters), but the feed truncates after a few lines. Ask the agent to front-load the message.
✓Images and video are uploaded through Postiz first, then attached. Mixing a link preview and uploaded media in one post is not supported by Facebook.

Install the Postiz skill in your Paperclip agent's environment with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent, set POSTIZ_API_KEY, and connect your Facebook Page in Postiz. Then assign a task like "post this update to Facebook tomorrow at 10am" and the agent schedules it through the Postiz CLI.

Can Paperclip post to a personal Facebook profile?

No. Facebook's publishing API only supports Pages, so Postiz connects Pages you administer. If you run a business or community Page, connect it in Postiz and your Paperclip agents can post there. Personal profile posting is not available through any scheduling tool.

How do I get a link preview on a Facebook post from Paperclip?

Include the URL in the task and ask for a preview. The agent places the link in the url setting and Facebook generates the title, description, and thumbnail from that page's Open Graph tags. If the preview looks wrong, fix the Open Graph tags on the destination page.

Can a Paperclip agent post the same content to Facebook and other platforms?

Yes. One task can target Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram at once, and Postiz sends each platform its own settings. Ask the agent for platform-specific variants, for example a casual Facebook version and a shorter X version, and it drafts and schedules them together.

Does Paperclip need Facebook developer credentials?

No. You connect the Facebook Page to Postiz once through OAuth in the Postiz dashboard. Your Paperclip agents authenticate to Postiz only, with an API key or postiz auth:login. Facebook credentials are never stored in the agent's environment or in Paperclip.
