What should I know before posting to Dev.to from NanoClaw?

Dev.to has a few rules that Postiz enforces at publish time. NanoClaw applies them when you mention them in plain language, and asks when a required value is missing.

✓title is required with at least 2 characters. The body is markdown, which Dev.to renders natively including code blocks.
✓Dev.to allows up to 4 tags. NanoClaw passes them as [{value, label}] objects; use existing Dev.to tags for reach.
✓The cover image (main_image) is uploaded through Postiz first and passed as {id, path}. Wide images work best.
✓To publish under an organization, NanoClaw needs the organization ID, which it can fetch with postiz integrations:settings.

How do I publish to Dev.to from NanoClaw?

Yes. Tell NanoClaw the original URL and it sets canonical on the Dev.to article, so Dev.to points search engines back to your site. This is the standard way to syndicate to Dev.to without hurting your own rankings, and Dev.to shows an "originally published at" note.

Can NanoClaw publish under my Dev.to organization?

Yes. Name the organization and NanoClaw fetches its ID with postiz integrations:settings, then sets organization on the post. The article appears on the organization page and in your profile. You must be a member of that organization on Dev.to for the publish to succeed.

Does NanoClaw support Dev.to cover images and tags?

Yes. Send a cover image and NanoClaw uploads it through Postiz and passes it as main_image. Mention up to four topics and it builds the tags array. Dev.to caps tags at four, so extra ones are dropped. Both fields are optional but improve how the article shows in feeds.

Can NanoClaw publish a Dev.to series on a schedule?

Yes. Point NanoClaw at a folder of markdown files inside its container and ask for a recurring job, for example every Thursday at 10am. It publishes the next file through Postiz each time. Review the queue in the Postiz calendar so a person approves each article before it goes live.
