What should you know before posting to Reddit from Claude Cowork?

Cowork handles these rules for you, but knowing them explains why it sometimes asks a follow-up question before scheduling.

✓Every subreddit target needs its own title, and Reddit caps titles at 300 characters.
✓type must be self, link, image, or video. Link posts need a url; image and video posts need media uploaded through Postiz first.
✓Some subreddits require a flair (is_flair_required). Cowork fetches the live flair list and asks you to choose if you did not name one.
✓Reddit communities have their own rules on self-promotion and posting frequency; scheduling does not bypass them.

Can Cowork cross-post to several subreddits at once?

Yes. Name each subreddit and Cowork creates one Reddit post with multiple subreddit entries, each with its own title, type, and flair. Postiz publishes them as separate submissions at the scheduled time, so one request can cover three or four communities.

Is posting to Reddit from Cowork different from Claude Code?

The Postiz features are identical; the entry point differs. Claude Code runs in a terminal and uses a claude mcp add command or the Postiz CLI. Claude Cowork runs in the Claude desktop app, so Postiz is added as a connector and Cowork can read the post body from a local file.

Does Cowork need my Reddit password?

No. You connect Reddit to Postiz once through Reddit's OAuth screen, and Cowork authenticates to Postiz through OAuth when you add the connector. Neither Cowork nor Postiz stores your Reddit password, and you can revoke access from Reddit's app settings at any time.
