What should you know before posting to Hashnode from Claude Cowork?

How do I publish to Hashnode from Claude Cowork?

It resolves the publication and tag IDs, uploads the cover, and schedules the post. No terminal is needed.

Why does Hashnode need a publication and tags?

Hashnode's API publishes posts into a publication (your blog) and requires at least one tag from its tag list. Postiz exposes both as required settings, and Cowork looks up the IDs when you name the blog and tags, so you never copy IDs by hand.

Can Claude Cowork set a canonical URL on Hashnode?

Yes. Tell Cowork the post first appeared on your site and provide the URL. It sets the canonical field when it creates the Hashnode post through Postiz, so search engines credit the original while the Hashnode copy still reaches that community.

Is this different from Hashnode publishing with Claude Code?

The Postiz settings are identical. Claude Code is Anthropic's terminal agent and connects with a claude mcp add command or the Postiz CLI. Claude Cowork is the desktop agent, so Postiz is added as a connector and Cowork reads the draft straight from a local folder.

Can Cowork publish the same article to Hashnode, Dev.to, and Medium?

Yes. Ask for all three and Cowork creates one Postiz post per platform with the settings each requires: publication and tags for Hashnode, up to four tags for Dev.to, subtitle for Medium. Set the canonical URL on each to point to your original.
