WordPress limits and gotchas to know

WordPress publishing through Postiz has a few required settings that Claude Code handles for you.

✓title is required (minimum 2 characters).
✓type is required and must be post or page. Say page when you want a static page.
✓main_image is the featured image, uploaded through Postiz and passed with an id and path.
✓The WordPress site must be connected in Postiz first; if you run several sites, name the one you mean.

How do I publish to WordPress from Claude Code?

Add the Postiz MCP server to Claude Code, sign in to Postiz with OAuth, and connect your WordPress site in Postiz. Then point Claude Code at a markdown file, say whether it is a post or page, and name a featured image. It uploads the image, sets the fields, asks for permission, and publishes or schedules.

Can Claude Code create WordPress pages as well as posts?

Yes. The WordPress type setting accepts post or page. Ask for a page when you want static content such as a changelog or documentation page, and Claude Code sets type to page. Posts are the default for blog content and appear in your feed and categories.

Can Claude Code set a featured image on a WordPress post?

Yes. Reference an image in your repo or a URL and Claude Code uploads it through Postiz and passes it as main_image with an id and path. If you connect over the custom Postiz MCP link, you can also ask Claude Code to generate the featured image first.

Can Claude Code publish WordPress posts from my release pipeline?
