Grok Bot reads the Lemmy rules from postiz integrations:settings before scheduling. These are the ones that most often change what gets published.
- ✓Each community target needs the community name (at least 2 characters), its ID on your Lemmy instance, and a title of at least 2 characters.
- ✓Grok Bot resolves community IDs with postiz integrations:settings. Communities live on your connected instance, so federated names must be reachable from it.
- ✓Add url for link posts. Without it the post is a text post with the body as content.
- ✓Lemmy communities have their own rules on self-promotion. Ask the Bot to read the sidebar before posting.

How do I post to Lemmy from Grok Bot?
Add the Postiz plugin with /add-plugin postiz and store your POSTIZ_API_KEY as a Bot secret. Connect your Lemmy account in Postiz, then name a community and describe the post. The Bot resolves the community ID, sets the title, and schedules through Postiz. You approve first.
Can Grok Bot cross-post to several Lemmy communities?
Yes. Name multiple communities and the Bot builds an array with a separate title and optional link for each. Postiz publishes them as individual posts on your instance. Give each community a tailored title and respect their self-promotion rules.
Does Grok Bot work with any Lemmy instance?
It works with the instance you connected in Postiz. Communities are resolved on that instance, including federated communities it can see. Grok Bot only needs your Postiz API key, so your Lemmy password stays in Postiz rather than in the Bot.
Can Grok Bot make Lemmy link posts?
Yes. Give the Bot a URL and it sets the url field on the community target, which Lemmy shows as a link post with a preview. Leave the URL out and the Bot creates a text post using your content as the body. Titles are required either way.
Can Grok Bot post to Lemmy and Reddit at the same time?
Yes. Ask for both and the Bot prepares a Reddit subreddit target with flair and a Lemmy community target with its own title in one request. Both go through Postiz and appear in your calendar for review before publishing.
