Warpcast limits and gotchas to know

Farcaster casts are short and channel aware, so keep these limits in mind.

✓Casts are short. Farcaster limits a cast to 320 bytes of text, so ask Claude Code for a punchy line or a series of casts.
✓Channel targeting uses the channel ID (for example dev or programming) in the settings array; Claude Code maps /channel names for you.
✓Channel targeting is optional; without it the cast goes to your feed.
✓Media is uploaded through Postiz, so reference a local file or URL.

How do I cast to Warpcast from Claude Code?

Add the Postiz MCP server to Claude Code, sign in to Postiz with OAuth, and connect your Farcaster account in Postiz. Then ask Claude Code to cast a message, optionally into a channel. It keeps the text within Farcaster's cast limit, sets the channel ID if you named one, and schedules or publishes the cast.

Can Claude Code post into a specific Farcaster channel?

Yes. Name the channel, such as /dev, and Claude Code sets the channel ID in the Warpcast settings so the cast appears in that channel. Leave the channel out and the cast goes to your main feed. You can schedule casts to different channels in the same session.

How long can a cast be when posting through Postiz?

Farcaster limits a cast to 320 bytes of text, which is roughly 320 characters for plain English. Claude Code keeps casts under that limit when it knows the target is Warpcast. For a longer announcement, ask for a short cast with a link, or a series of casts.
