Postiz validates every Hashnode post before it is scheduled, so these limits and required settings decide whether a request succeeds.

▸publication is required. Every Hashnode post must belong to one of your publications.
▸At least one tag is required, and tags are passed by Hashnode tag ID, so Hermes looks them up before posting.
▸title must be at least 6 characters and subtitle at least 2 characters when provided.
▸The cover image must be uploaded with postiz upload and referenced by id and path in main_image.

Can Hermes Agent publish to Hashnode?

Yes. With the Postiz skill installed, Hermes Agent creates and schedules Hashnode posts with a title, subtitle, body, cover image, tags, publication, and optional canonical URL. You describe the post or point it at a markdown file from any chat Hermes is connected to, and it runs the Postiz commands.

How do I connect Hashnode to Hermes Agent?

Connect Hashnode in the Postiz dashboard with your Hashnode token, then install the Postiz skill in Hermes with npx skills add gitroomhq/postiz-agent and set POSTIZ_API_KEY. Hermes finds the Hashnode channel with postiz integrations:list. Your Hashnode token stays in Postiz; Hermes only holds the Postiz key.

Why does Hermes Agent need a publication for Hashnode?

Hashnode publishes every post inside a publication, so the publication setting is required. Hermes fetches your publications through Postiz and passes the matching ID. If you have one blog, Hermes uses it automatically; with several, name the one you want so it does not have to guess.

How do tags work when Hermes Agent posts to Hashnode?

Hashnode requires at least one tag, and tags are identified by ID rather than name. Hermes looks up the tag IDs through Postiz for the topics you mention and passes them as value/label pairs. If a tag does not exist on Hashnode, Hermes should suggest the closest match.

Can Hermes Agent publish to Hashnode on a schedule?

Yes. Hermes Agent has a built-in cron scheduler. Run hermes cron create "every tuesday 9am" with a prompt such as "publish the newest file in ~/posts/hashnode to my publication via Postiz with canonical set to the blog". Hermes runs it unattended and confirms in your chat.
